the tease that went too far

There was a boy who unknowingly captured her heart over time. She never expected to fall for him, but somehow she did. She would often catch herself staring at him, her heart skipping a beat.

As her feelings grew, her playful teasing became more frequent. She loved seeing his reactions, thinking his slightly annoyed face was adorable. But in her enthusiasm, she failed to notice the fine line between playful and hurtful.

One day, she crossed that line. Her teasing became too much, and she complained about him to their teacher. The words spilled out, and she couldn't take them back. His eyes widened, and his angry stare cut through her.

In that moment, she saw the hurt she had caused. His dismissal shattered her gentle heart. She felt like nothing more than an annoyance to him, someone he didn't care about. "He hates me," she thought, her mind racing. "He's easily annoyed by my teasing."

As the reality of his feelings sunk in, her world crumbled. Inside her heart, a mirror shattered wide. Tears streamed down, her pain couldn't hide.

And she couldn't control the ocean of tears she held in her eyes, which flowed down her cheeks despite her struggle to hold them back.

Her fragile heart, once full of hope, now lay broken and still. The memory of his angry face haunted her.

After that, she never disturbed him again, her love reduced to silent sorrow.
